Method 1: Washing Broccoli with Water

Fill a sink or a large bowl with cold water and let the broccoli soak for 5-10 minutes to loosen dirt and debris. Swirl the broccoli around initially to dislodge any larger particles. Then, transfer the broccoli to a colander and rinse it under cold water, ensuring thorough coverage of all sides.

Use your hands to gently rub the vegetable, especially focusing on the cracks and crevices where dirt can accumulate. Finally, shake the broccoli dry over the sink and pat it with a paper towel if needed before cooking or serving.

Method 2: Using a Vinegar Solution

Prepare a mixture of 3 parts water and 1 part white vinegar in a large bowl. Submerge the broccoli in the solution and let it soak for 15-20 minutes. Swirl the broccoli occasionally to enhance the cleaning process.
